Electric cars by 2030?

A bit of a soapbox for me and I suggest giving
What They Really Mean For You a watch.

They're trying to err on the optimistic side but for me it ain't gonna happen and by some distance. Where that leaves us I don't know.
If you watch the program the kicker is at the end and the absolute lousy performance of our government in backing the idea despite them being the ones to set the target.

Company I work for has a scheme, where you can buy a car through your pay so get a massive discount, one of the big bosses is well into it to buy his second electric car.

I asked him if part of the scheme would also pay for a garage for me, or a driveway, or move to a house with one, as since I have to park on the road, usually, but not always right outside my house, electric car isn't really an option :(

I guess when modern homes are built, they have them, like they have solar panels fitted as standard, and when flats are built, some parking spaces must have charge points, but I guess not all.

My comment to any fare in the car if this comes up, wherever I am, is the same.
Just point out of the window and ask how many charging points do you see and how many times have you ever seen work going on installing any.
