My Samsung S10 was flagging up insufficient memory. So I started backing up videos and images without even thinking until I notice it's having no effect.
Looking down the list of what's using what I find 84.5 (that's eighty four point five) Gb in Podcast Addict.
It was supposed to delete episodes once listened to but obviously wasn't.
Deleted the whole app a resubscribed
with Spotify.
Tried Google but you can't get Beeb pods through them.
Anyone have any options they prefer.

Looks like you're referring to the storage space on the phone as opposed to 'memory' - running slow etc.
I also use Podcast Addict and haven't had any issues with episodes not being deleted. Is the option enabled to delete after listening? I think you can also override the App settings per Podcast - make sure that's not the issue.
For Beeb stuff I can't get in Addict I use BBC Sounds.

I used to use the Acast app before they discontinued it and reluctantly moved to Pocket Cast. I'm glad I was forced to change now because it's a lot more customisable, deletes old eps fine and plays BBC podcasts.
I've tried Spotify, Amazon and the inadequate Google podcast app and they all have limitations like being obliged to be online or too unwieldy to navigate.
I'm going to give Podcast Addict another try as what's said about the main contenders is true and I probably deleted it as I'd lost my rag about 84gb of undeleted stuff.
Spotify is a PITA to try and figure out what's been listened to and what hasn't.
Google is no use for Beeb podcasts.
Amazon is what's used for Alexa in the house which means everyone and their mother screws up playlists and subscriptions.
Yes you're quite right sj I did mean storage, my error.
If you use Podcast addict is there an easy way of deleting or rather marking podcasts played before a certain number or date as one I listen to is about 500 eps old and I need to mark about 400 played.

Not sure about a quick way to select like that but you could select all (long press one and then Select All from 3 dots top right) and then de-select the recent ones (if that's what you're tying to achieve)?

Found a 'delete older than' option so I'll scuffle around that and see what's possible.
I think I can get it to do what I want. Other than that I'll just have to keep a note of episode numbers.
