Page 1 of Michael Crichton RIP
General Forum
Putting a bit of a pall over today`s celebrations -
Jurassic Park author Michael Crichton has passed away following a long battle with cancer, aged 66. Crichton was also responsible for Westworld, The First Great Train Robbery, the tv series ER and many marvellous novels, taking the most improbable concepts and making them appear completely reasonable.
Sadly missed.

I am very surprised by this news and its just such a shame that we`ve lost another one of the world`s brilliant authors.
I have read and enjoyed many of his books and am sad that there won`t be any more of them.
RIP

Wow. Very sad news indeed

That was a shocker! RIP
He is the only author ever to scare me in a book (Jurrassic Park - car in tree), and Ive read Stephen King, James Herbert, Clive Barker and Jeffrey Archer!
RIP, only read the 2 Jurassic Parks and Disclosure, but loved all of them. A great author indeed.
