The worst layer change.

It`s pretty much glossed over, but a dodgy layer change can screw a movie up. You notice a few milliseconds of pause if there`s some action at the time. Savvy publishers try to locate the change at a quiet point in the movie, no sound and no motion.

The best one for me has to be the Matrix (fade to black and change)

The worst I can think of is the original EiV single disc release of Se7en
(right in the middle of a chase)
R2 both.

The worst one i have encountered is on "The Rock" - Criterion Version. I sent this film back twice to Play247, not realizing it was a layer change. Finally got a copy from Dvd-depot.......same problem.

These layer changes really p*** me off big time!!!

Drive - it happens right in the middle of the best fight sequence and totally ruins the effect
Shaolin Soccer - again, right in the middle of an important scene

sometimes I dont notice layer changes but sometimes they`re really obvious, I think there`s a bad one in gladiator but I`m not sure. Does the length of a layer change depend on a player aswell as the disc?

It seems that layer changes are getting better and better. I struggle to even see them on new R1 releases such as The Fast and The Furious, Shrek and American Pie 2
