take heed of this warning or you may have to endure the most painfull time spent in a cinema you have ever experienced....

How hard could it have been to make a bad film with Samue L Jackson, Robert Carlyle and Ricki Tomlinson?...not very hard by what i just saw..

A new leader in the "worst films i have ever seen list" Only the fact that I`d paid 10 quid plus a hot dog, large popcorn and a large Fanta kept me in my seat....

TERRIBLE

So is Robert Carlyles accent as bad as the Russian he did in James Bond? Why couldnt he just play a Scotish drug dealer?

Just be careful, telling someone they shouldn`t see or do something may have us all rushing out to see this amazing film. Ban something, restrict it and everyone wants it, Bit like when the electricity goes out I always staight away need a coffee desperately. Mind you as the girlfriends mum said when the electric actually did go out. " Don`t worry we can see by the light of the television" !!!!! Ahem.
Robert Carlyle is usually pretty good, I didn`t even realise it was him in train spotting until the credits as I was just so absorbed, and his accent was pretty good in the Full Whatnot, wasn`t it?
Should sneak in a can of cheap drink and supermarket nibbles to keep the costs of possible film disasters down.
Was it really that bad??????

Samuel Jackson playing golf and wearing a kilt is enough reason to put me off seeing this.

Speaking of girlfriends, how come when you can`t have sex its always the time you want it? :D

It really was that bad.....it managed to be unfunny, unthrilling, and unbearable.....

I had a headache during the film..but this paled in comparison to what i was being put through up on the screen....

If you can imagine the worst film you`ve ever seen..times it by 10 and there you have the 51st state...

to be honest....it was insulting....i`ve good mind to find the scriptwriter and director and give them an introduction to geordie hospitality...

That makes two of us. 2 Geordies = unstoppable force. :D

DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS LOT - 51st State is a superb film. Mr Jackson is highly amusing as is Bobby Carlyle. Everyone I know that has seen the film completely agrees.... but it is not for me to say, I think that everyone should go and judge for themselves. And DONT take in what reviews it has received - i.e. s***e - because Harry Potter got excellent and that was possibly the worst film I have seen ever.

Well it is all about opinions; but after getting dragged along to see Harry Potter I thought it was very entertaining.

100 reasons why this film is terrible

1. Meatloaf - Terrible acting, no personality, no menace and absolutely no motivation to his character

2. Racism - horribly embarrasing attempts at trying to be clever but just ending up like a promo for the BNP

3. Raving - a complete insult to clubbers...branding all of them as pill munching, brain dead, moonie style cult followers

4. The Matrix / Charlies Angels syndrome - Lets have a slow motion every time the heroine walks, or speaks, or farts.

5. Love scene - hahahahahah..thrashing about in a bath with underpants on.

6. Cliches - It has every one in the book

7. Swearing / Guy Richie syndrome - every second word is f**k or t**t or c**t...and after a while it just becomes annoying...

8. Football hooligans - again..gives a bad name to Man U and Liverpool supporters and openly advocates football violence

9. Camera work - awfull....shoddy...amatuerish...

10. Not funny - always an important part of any film that claims to have comedy as a theme

11. Characters - as believable and as well rounded as any that Adam Sandler would play...

I HAVE NOW MADE IT MY MISSION TO CONTACT THE MAKERS OF THIS MOVIE TO SEE IF I CAN GET THEM TO REFUND MY TENNER...

after all....they supplied me with sub-standard goods...and the sales of goods act states that i am entitled to a refund...
