They are on the news everyday. Yet there is no new news. Is this proportionate to the situation?

I see the mother of Ben Needham is now asking for her case to be reopened with all the same backing the McCanns are getting.

Just wondered.

How dare you... etc.

Yes they`re getting too much attention, but you can`t blame them for keeping the interest cranked up to 11. As soon as people start getting bored it`s game over. So although it may be seen as unfair, I don`t really have a problem with it.

What gets me is why they haven`t been interviewed by a child care agency for the lack of care given - I know this will bring up loads of arguments but I feel they`ve committed a crime by leaving her alone.
What happens if she is found dead? Surely they should be held accountable for child neglect?
At the end of the day if I was in that position I`d want to be splashed all over the media in the faint hope it`ll do some good.

I sympathise with your point bbb, but I suspect the pain of having lost their child is harrowing enough.

Can`t help but think that the high profile that this is getting worldwide would mean that whoever took her has (for want of a better term) disposed of her a long time ago :(

Maybe a more low profile approach would have meant that the abductors would still be keeping her.

I wonder if being so eager to do all this publicity is what has (so far) saved them from the wrath of the media? I remember it being said that the campaign against Joanne Lees began simply because she gave her interviews to UK papers and programmes, not Australian ones.

I am getting a bit cynical over this massive attention for one lost child.

In fact after reading a national newspaper about bringing up the old question of why not inject babies with an underskin microchip, so they could be found, really started to get my blood boiling again. Visions of 1984 moving in.

The conspiricy sites are going crazy at present, saying this is just one big PR act to get people to start accepting microchiping, etc.

The Nazies in WW2 had the same idea, except it was a tatooed number on the forearm of Jews in the concentration camps.
