Does this now mean all other dictators will be executed, that have killed way more people? ie. ex African leaders, South American dictators (lets not forget Pinochet!). No, they will not. How can the West, particularly the good ol` US of A, say they do not condone this kind of punishment, yet its ok for Saddam. Dont get me wrong, im not pro Saddam, I just think his hanging was all too much, they should have left him in a prison cell for the rest of his life.

Means nothing to anyone except Bush & his dad. Iraq is now officiallyTM worse off now than when they ever were under Hussein, and it`s not going to make one iota of difference to the people of iraq, who have more people killed in a month by militants than the losses suffered by the US army during their entire tour there.

It more than likely will make a difference in Iraq, and a nasty one.
He will now be a martyr in his followers way of thinking, of which there are many, and probably cause an even worse uprising.
The West acted like Pilate and washed their hands of the act.
I expect it has made the Iraqian situation far, far worse.

I`m reminded of Bill bailey: Part troll

America is like this big lummocking bully, and England is the weedy kid who hangs around with him to look good. America grabs a small kids and says `gimme your lunch money or I`ll smash your face in` and England comes around the back shaking a fist saying `yeeeeeaaaahhh"

Apparently part of Saddam`s farewell letter:
"I offer my soul to God as a sacrifice and if He wants He will send it to heaven with the martyrs"

I`m no supporter of the war in Iraq but let`s not forget the atrocities that this man and his brethren committed... there`ll be more than just Bush and Blair celebrating today and it`s naive in the extreme to think otherwise.Did no one else see the documentary showing the public footage of Saddam taking power? Anyone who objected was marched out and shot within earshot of the others. I don`t suppose it will help matters in Iraq today though... :(
