Don`t know it myself, but this is a DVD forum after all so you can guarantee someone does...

Half-decent English, very basic French and a few naughty insults in German. Ooh, oh, and I can count to 10 in German.

Oh yeah, and I`ve picked up a few comical phrases from Eastern cinema and anime. So some Cantonese and Japanese, too.

I think I`ll click 5 and give myself a self-esteem boost for the evening. :)

What does `understand` mean?
I can speak and write a fair bit of French. But listening to two French people speaking to each other and I`m lost...
Stantz, 3... Fluent?

This may be a stupid question but what are the major differences between Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi? Are they all derivations of one language eg. Arabic and Farsi or Italian and Latin?

Anyhow, I clicked three as I understand English and can make out enough French and German to get by although by no means fluently.

correct me if I`m wrong but I think you`ll find that Farsi (Persian) and Arabic are two completely different languages - as different say as Spanish and Norwegian

I can only really speak one language - English - but I can understand French and German well enough to cope, and Flemish (Dutch, if you prefer) if they speak slowly enough!
