JFK - was Kevin Costner right?
What do people think about the Oliver Stone film - JFK.
Do you think it reflects the truth of this age old theory?
The witnesess that died
The single bouncing bullet
The grassy knoll
The shooters
The mafia
Cuba
Russia
Etc, etc, etc.
Will we ever know the truth?
RE: JFK - was Kevin Costner right?
You missed the main suspect from your list!
The engineering company "Brown & Root" (of the Haliburton group).
I onced worked for them on the Great Manmade River Project in Libya while Ameica was bombing the hell out of them!
Brown & Roots head office is in Houston where also the NASA conspiracy was supposedly perpetrated.
Rich oilmen secretly control America so look for the link that ties it all together!
Great film even though Costner never really shone.

I dont think so.
"Rich oilmen secretly control America so look for the link that ties it all together!"
Lol Bill gate`s & larry ellison are ritcher then all the oil men in the states.
The film, if you listen to the commentary is not Stones View buta soup of views put forward.
What do I believe?
The commie haters & had him killed.
This includes Rich military Contactors , Generals and politicians who were on their payroll as well as the CIA who had investments everywhere.
Kennedy had screwed these people out of their war and money twice.
and he was about to do it in vietnam.
Third time unlucky.
If you like this sort of thing get the Movie 13 days its brilliant.
The friction between Kennedy and his allies v the old school and the military is a inkling to his final outcome 12 months later.
JFK is one of the great mysteries for me. It`s eventual splatter gun approach on who to blame - the Mafia, CIA, Russians, the Vice President (?!) undermined, for me anyway, what had gone before.
It was if we`d had a whole parade of suspects and the twist was...
they`re all guilty!
I hadn`t realised that it wasn`t Stone`s view but a "soup of views" (excellant description by the way) - mayve if he`d settled on one (or even two or three) I`d have been happier with the end result.
RE: JFK - was Kevin Costner right?
Ironduke: You dont think Brown & Root were responsible but that was the conclusion Oliver Stone made by naming them.
Just think of the massive lawsuit if he was wrong. No lawsuit. Facts proven.
You think it was "Rich military Contactors" instead.
Duh! Brown & Root (aka BRV - Brown & Root Vickers). Heard of Vickers?
LOL - Military expert old Ironduke, you aint! ;-)
Brown & Root has always had lucrative defence contracts since their inception and a rough streak a mile wide. The stories I could tell you about Mr Brown.... JR Ewing was a saint in comparison. But that will have to keep for my memoirs :P
Mafia/CIA/Cuban Commies - It`s all a cover for the truth.
Dont forget the moonshot thing, it ties in.

JFK is based on on two books "Crossfire: the plot that killed Kennedy" and L. Fletcher Prouty`s "JFK" (Mr X, played by Donald Sutherland, is Mr Prouty).
I believe the "scattergun" approach is correct. No one person killed JFK, rather the "Military-Industrial Complex" did.
So what? Woo-hoo, big conspiracy. We`re not in control of our lives. Damn.
Vickers a big US contractor? Don`t make me laff. Bell, General Dynamics, Lockheed. These are the big military/aerospace contractors and big $$$ research and production companies.

Brown & Root are US Engineers who are part of the worldwide Halliburton group. I grant you, Vickers with their other sister companies are just small fry in comparison.
B&R would even work for those little firms you mentioned - on a quiet day that is :P
Dont insult them. They may be watching behind the grassy noll.
I know i`m going out on a limb here but...
I think people find it easier to believe that it takes a major conspiracy to kill the president than believe that any old sad loner can, if they put their disturbed mind to it, kill someone that important.
I actually think people feel safer that way. If any old nutter can assasinate the president then it only emphasises how unsafe the world is.
My theory is...Lee Harvey Oswald killed the president, firing a number of shots from the Texas Book Depository.
I know...it`s a wacky theory...but one that`ll eventually catch on.
I`m so vastly important to the world I`m sure they`re just itching to take me out. In fact, there`s a guy with a dodgy bolt-action Italian rifle on the roof oposite *right now* and I just found 3 bugs in my office (no, really, I work for the NHS, there`s bugs in my office :p). My head is so big, they can`t miss. Morpheus is ringing me now - I must get out of the building. Meanwhile, back on the real planet, I`m sure they wouldn`t waste money on the copper-jacketed piece of lead it would take to redecorate the inside of my office with "purple brains" (Dulux special offer, pop down to B&Q now).
Hmm, Bell helicopters, General Dynamics bombers and Lockheed Skunkworks. Yes, these "little firms" have very little to do with the US Military Industrial Complex.
*zing!* *crack!* Must dash. :D
RE: JFK - was Kevin Costner right?
I would like to believe it was a loner, like The Dead Zone (Christopher Walken), but I believe that the supposed "facts" rule this out. From what I understand Bullets entered the car from different directions therefore there must have been "shooters". This "fact" alone proves a conspirecy (spell checker please).
