anyone out there got an LG3200E player?

The Torch (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 20th August 2000, 20:00

I need some feedback from people who have this player?
I currently own the LG2330P model, but I want a multi region player, I realise I could get my current player modded by techtronics but at £105 inc vat I thought I might as well get a newer model?
I read in What Tv/Video that the 3200E`s picture and sound quality wasnt as good as the older 2330P?
whats your opinion in the picture and sound quality?

Dear Torch,

I recently bought a 3200 from techtronics and have found the picture and sound to be quite good (especially compared to the Scan I returned). But of course I haven`t got a 2330, so can`t compare. I guess the only way to check is to see the two up against each other. Is visiting techtronics sales outlet an option?

I have an lg3200e and have found it to be spot on in all areas. However, i have sent it off to be chipped so i can play region 1 dvd`s. The price is only £57 quid including courier. The best dvd r1 site is dvdboxoffice. i ahve ordered 3 kings for £13. we are getting ripped off in the u.k.

The Techtronics `hacked` 3200 works pretty well flawlessly, so far. It`s not that fast (but faster than my PC), but there`ve been no problems with any discs, the auto region select works fine. As an example, The Abyss R1 special edition is fine, no problems with the `movie-branching` feature or layer change.

I have had a player from techtronics for just over a week and think that the picture quality is very good - it is my first DVD player though so I don`t have a comparison. It is solid and seems to have no trouble with any of the discs I have bought so far. The player is multiregion and can have the macrovision disabled which I have tested and works fine.
