Buffy TVS S1 Box Set

I am looking to buy the S1 box set but don`t know whether to go for Region 1 or 2. The price from play is almost identical but the sound specifications are different. Region1 says Dolby Digital Surround and Region 2 says Dolby 2.0 stereo. Is the Region 1 better? Are there any other differences? Thanks for any advice.

What is centropy in relation to pirates?

I keep seeing the term centropy when people are referring to VCD copies. What does it mean?

Thanks.

Yamaha VS-10 Problems

I have a VS-10 connected to a LG3200E - I cannot get it to produce DD or DTS sound. I have checked that the DVD is set to DD but the VS-10 keeps displaying Dolby Pro Logic only on its LCD screen. I am using the standard audio inputs as I don`t have an optical out on the DVD. Is there something I am doing wrong somewhere?

Any help greatly appreciated!

RE: The Mummy Returns

Can you also give me an address for a copy which doesn`t have the subtitles for £8-10. Thanks.

The Mummy Returns

I have seen adds on ebay for The Mummy Returns DVD which says it is in English but you have to put up with permanent Malay subtitles. What is this all about - is it a VCD pirate or has a version really been released over there - it seems a bit too soon with the movie only just being released at cinemas. Any info anyone?

Connecting a surround sound system to a LG3200e

I am interested in buying the recommended Yamaha vs-10 system but wanted to check how you connect it all up and the compatability with my DVD player. I have a LG3200e which only has the standard analogue sound connectors on the back - will it work ok with the VS-10 - how will it all be hooked up?

Thanks.

mp3 players

I am looking for a CD player that will go with my other seperates and read CD-R, CD-RW and the mp3 format on CD. I know there are DVD players that can do this but unfortunately I already have the LG3200E - just before they changed to the new player that has this facility! Can anyone tell me if they exist and where to get one. Thanks.

RE: PLEASE HELP....NEWBIE...CHEAP PLAYER ??

The LG3200E from techtronics.com is multiregion and macrovision disabled. I have had mine for a few months now and have been very impressed by its quality. Might be worth a look.

Blockbuster DVD rentals

Does anyone know why the rental edition of movies don`t have the extras with them? I have just rented Fight Club and couldn`t see any of the extras montioned in this sites review.

RE: anyone out there got an LG3200E player?

I have had a player from techtronics for just over a week and think that the picture quality is very good - it is my first DVD player though so I don`t have a comparison. It is solid and seems to have no trouble with any of the discs I have bought so far. The player is multiregion and can have the macrovision disabled which I have tested and works fine.

Is there a multiregion hack for the LG3200E and is it a good player?

I am considering buying a LG3200E as my first DVD player and wondered if there was a multiregion remote hack for it?

Can anyone recommend this as a good player? Are there any reoccuring problems with it or films it won`t play? Does it work well with Region 1 DVDs? Any information would be a big help in my decision!
