American Psycho

Just watched this on BBC2, and wow! Very good film, let down slightly by the last 15 minutes, but the acting and humour in the film was wonderful. Very underrated methinks, yet also startling in its accuracy and satire (the business card sequence was excellent, as well as the roomful of identical yuppies).

What are others` views on the film?

It`s certainly better than the novel, although I`m not sure it gives us a lot more than the hollowness it`s satirizing.

Oh, and I didn`t realise that `foreign swine` was regarded as profanity.

Settle an arguement between friends.
I say that everyone killed in the film was just in his imagination i.e. daydreaming because he did f*ck all during office hours.

My friends says "Bullsh*t!!!"

One of the wittiest films of recent years.
I think it`s underrated because a lot of people simply don`t get it.
Definetly in my all-time top 5 films.
i was surprised the bbc didn`t majorly cut it as well...the only cut i noticed was in one on the scenes with dectective kimble.

I thought the film was ok, did a decent job of translating a poor and overrated book to film. I must be one of those folk who don`t `get` Easton Ellis, as I gave him benefit of the doubt and read Glamorama as well. Thats just as bad.

I found it funny and fantastically satirical, but the wife just found it boring.

That`s how I saw it, but most other people just disagree with me.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how wrong it is ;-)

I thought the massacre at the end (beginning at the ATM with the stray cat) was all a dream, but the rest was real.
