i'm watching them, half way through series 2 at the moment, but I remember the episode you're talking about, it's as if they wanted to make the character more annoying so wrote an episode just to p*** ppl off. Wierdly I never got that annoyed with him in Ep1 but he is annoying in Clone Wars :(

towards the end of season 2 of clone wars now, Ani's character is interesting, as he blurs the lines more between good and bad, when Snips and Obi aren't watching he goes off on one a bit more, killing, torturing, so his fall to the dark side (Spoilers?) is more gradual, than in the films where there was just a couple of events and he snapped.

as for the narrater, it's only the beginning of each episode, i guess it was to give it that olde worlde saturday morning kids tv feel?

i'm told the later ones get really good, i need to watch Rebels as well, apparently the Resistance cartoon isn't so good.

finished clone wars tonight, watched the final 3 episodes back to back, it was so good, even though I knew certain things had to/couldn't happen, final season is excellent proper Star Wars :)

just started season 4 of Rebels, it's v good, and there's no voice over guy :)

it's a shame hadn't watched Rebels and Clone Wars before Mandalorian, as certain things and people are introduced, and explained, so can now see why ppl got excited about some events/things/people in The Mandalorian.

There's also stuff which makes parts of Ep 7-9 clearer, and nice links and nods to the original trilogy.
