Having played most of the launch titles, i can honestly say - get an xbox or a ps2 (yes - i don`t dislike the ps2, just the closed minded sony fanboys that show their respect by only buying illegal copies)- or wait until something decent turns up! It is a truly weak launch line up!

US/Jap machines were very easy to convert, and i imagine the uk ones won`t be much different

Do own a GC ? if not i dont think you have played any of the GC titles long enough to make any judgement.

I own all three main consoles and can say the GC is a far superior machine compared to the PS2 and has a great lineup of games coming out with more to follow.

The X-Box is also a great machine but needs more developers to support it.

I would,nt recommend anyone buying a PS2 instead of a GC unless they are intending to use it for copy games.

Most of all GC launch titles look next generation except for a few ports from other consoles.

Once you have played Biohazard again or have seen Starwars in motion you will know this is the machine to go for.

It may not win the console wars but it has the best games that have been released for a long time.

The PS2 is not completely done in yet though there is some great games out for it like the recent Japanese release of Onimusha 2 and Squaresofts Kingdome hearts ,which are both killer titles.

Yay! Have played it - Star wars looks fantastic, but is not much of a game to play - Biohazard i am looking forward to, but the new shots of mario do not look like a big leap from the 64 version!

Don`t really mind which console good games come out on, as long as they come out on something!

According to an interview with the producer Shigeru Miyamoto, he has intentionaly done the graphics in this style and look quite similar to the original Mario 64.

He is spending more time making a more vibrant living and breathing world before finishing with the graphics, you can be guarenteed as usual to get a very special game which he promises.

If you have played the original Biohazard you will be blown away with what they have done with the remake, although the game backgrounds are still prerendered, they are now using FMV on them to make them more lifelike, the game is also much bigger and even the easy level in the game is much harder than the hardest levels on previous games.

If you are a Biohazard fan it is worth owning the console for.

Even better GC news:

I read an article today (which if i find again, i will link to) that says that Biohazard will NOT have pre-rendered backgrounds. It looks fantastic.

As for poor titles: Super Monkey Ball, Rogue Leader, Smash Bros. Melee, the new Spider-man game looks sweet too!

Not bad for the first few weeks purchasing, and tons more greats to come after that.

GC = unbeatable power at an unbeatable price IMO
