Lik Sang closes down - thank you very much Sony.... :-(

Apparently due to several law suits filed by Sony over selling imported PSPs Lik Sang has been forced to close down. I`m pretty gutted about this as they were a fantastic importer. The range of stuff from games to unusual merchandise was superb and always offered a fantastic service. Well Sony can now kiss my arse and I will not be purchasing any more products from them. It makes me sick that honest e-tailers are been shut down by corporate whores like Sony. This could spell the end for grey importing.... :(

Bastids. Lik Sang is/was a fantastic importer and their customer service was second to none. Sad news for all gamers ;-(

*shocking* >:(

I followed the most recent lawsuit, and was naturally disappointed by the outcome from a judge who wouldn`t know a PlayStation from a train station, and based his decision solely on what would benefit at domineering company and their bloated corporate business strategy.

I`m not surprised they decided to close - it`s all made quite clear in the press release.

It`s also another reason for gamers to malign Sony, as if the pre-release info on the PS3 wasn`t enough.

Quote:
A Sony spokesperson declined to comment directly on the lawsuit against Lik-Sang, but recently went on to tell Gamesindustry.biz that "ultimately, we`re trying to protect consumers from being sold hardware that does not conform to strict EU or UK consumer safety standards, due to voltage supply differences et cetera; is not - in PS3`s case - backwards compatible with either PS1 or PS2 software; will not play European Blu-Ray movies or DVDs; and will not be covered by warranty".

A) Is the f***ing PS3 multi-region or not?

B) Nobody ever, anywhere has excepted `We are being c***s for your own good` as a valid excuse.

C) R.I.P Lik-Sang.

Sony are basically the biggest c***s anywhere. They`re the reason we have a new format war on our hands when it comes to next-gen DVD, what with their stubborn attempts to create a rival format. Yeah, cause that`s worked out really well for them in the past... I stopped buying their overpriced s***e years ago.
