I have both, have had the PSP since new year and got my UK VIP DS delivered last week, but have decided to sell the DS now as I`m never going to use it. There is no comparison between the two and I feel like I am taking a step backwards when I use the DS.

Unless you particularly want to play the games out for the DS, I`d get the PSP because it will no doubt have a much higher number of games releases, has a better screen, and should run emulators from the memory stick.

Im going to Hong Kong in summer and will probably pick up the PSP while im out there. I had a go on the DS at the weekend in Game and I have to say that i wasnt very impressed by the brightness or viewing angle of the screen or that the touchpad screen was completly f***ed from stylus abuse.

Additionally im dog tired with Nintendo releasing previous gen ports.

And, yeah, the PSP looks the better bet through sheer versatility and game catalogue.

probably because you "could" hand over the cash and walk away with one there & then, therefore game would get a sale ;)

for me it would have to be the psp, due to the flexibility & there will no doubt be a DS emulator for it eventually ;)

PSP wins hands down for style. Finally saw one in CEX Birmingham and was very much impressed. DS is a great piece of kit though, only had a quick play on a mates but did enjoy it. Mario DS has a stupid number of mini games to play with!

psp for me...
simply because the screen is so huge and nice.. when put next to each other make the ds looks like a cheapo game watch from the 70s

Just thought I`d add a little info I saw on digital bits just incase you peeps didn`t know.

And in an interesting bit of news, Sony has also announced that it plans to release movies in a "mini-disc" format compatible for viewing on the new Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable) game system. Titles are expected to be available within a month of the PSP`s 3/24 launch date here in the U.S., and will include XXX, Hellboy, Resident Evil 2 and Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Spider-Man 2 will actually be bundled with the first 1 million units of the PSP - a nice little perk.

I`m not a gaming person but when it comes to Nintendo, I`ve always got the impression that the Nintendo games were always aimed at kids rather than adults, they haven`t moved on there`s no new characters, I mean they`ve still got Mario for f***sake!!!
