Yes. I liked it.

Scarlet Johansson is very good at doing acting. Nice transit van driving skills.

There is a particular scene which caused a bit of a stir which I think a lot of people didn't get:

SPOILER:
On the beach where she leaves the screaming baby to die. People where outraged that she didn't help it in some way. The point is she is an alien. Although she appears human she is only superficially so (much of the point of the film). She had no human empathy. You would no more expect her to help than you would a cat or a donkey.

I thought it was mesmerising. Very abstract and with an impressive performance/accent from SJ - the perfect antidote to the endless superhero retreads.

One of my favourite films of 2014.
