Page 1 of v mini series march !!

I am looking forward to buying the v mini series which is out 11th march and is in 1.85.1 ratio and 189mins long. Is anyone else a fan of this great series and buying it? Can`t wait to see it again in widescreen and go down the memory lane when i first saw it in 1983.

Yes, but to be honest I was expecting great things, but I cant help but feel that things have moved on. The effects, etc were great a the time but they dont really stand up to much now.

Still, Mike Ironside as `Ham` still rocks. (Mr bit part himself )

I can remember watching this as a kid in about 1983 -1986. Its one of my greatest childhood memories, along with watching the World Cup in Mexico - 1986.

By the way did`nt Mark Singer have massive nostrils at the time !!

Don`t get to excited people. The disc only has the pilot and 2 episodes on it, hense why it has a running time of just 3 hours. There are plans to release later episodes later though, seemingly.

Anyone know when the rest of it is being released?

Thought there first series was only around 5 or 7 eps long then they brought out the ahem.. Second series which ran for much longer....

This was repeated in the past year on one of the channels. Was it C5? Anyway it may have been a Sky digital channel.
I never missed an episode in its original run (82-3?)
But I was 12 and when I saw it again I realised that.
I don`t think that u can ever get the same pleasure from watching any film as an adult compared to when u are a child. I think this show was primarily aimed at a 15 - 20 year old audience.
As a child u never really have to `suspend disbelief` and while I am a massive film/tv buff I don`t think I ever get the childhood buzz of watching shows.
Sad really - but I suppose the alternative of not growing up could be sadder.
