The Time Traveler`s Wife

Thought I`d post this as I hadn`t seen anything about it and know XFG and quite a few other people on here have recommended the book (always forget it when I`m doing my order on Amazon, damn you £16 orders for free delivery ;) ).

The film adaptation is out christmas day according to Cineworld, guessing in real terms in the new year.

It`s starring Rachel Mcadams, Eric Bana, Ron Livingston, Jane McLean, Stephen Tobolowsky.

Directed by: Robert Schwentke. According to Wikipedia he`s made Tattoo (supposed to be quite good from memory) and Flightplan (pretty s***).

The book is fantastic (IMHO).
Get it added to the Wish list Mills - that`s the way I remember stuff :D

I`m hoping its converted well, since we all know that some adaptations can be terrible.
The Green Mile always stands out, for me, as a shining example of one that is done well though.

Forgot to add apparently according to Wikipedia
Quote:

Before Audrey Niffenegger`s 2003 novel The Time Traveler`s Wife was published, New Line acquired rights to develop a feature film based on the story.[3] Niffenegger stated in an interview that she had thoughts of how a film version of the book would appear, as she was writing the book.[4] In September 2003, the studio hired screenwriter Jeremy Leven to write an adapted screenplay of the novel.[5] Directors Steven Spielberg and David Fincher briefly expressed interest in the project, though no negotiations took place.[6] In March 2005, director Gus Van Sant entered negotiations with the studio to helm the project.[7] The negotiations did not hold, and in November 2006, director Robert Schwentke was instead hired to take over the project.[6]

In January 2007, New Line hired screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin to rewrite Leven`s script.[3] Filming began in Toronto on September 10, 2007.[8] The film is also being shot in Hamilton, Ontario. [9] The film is set to be released December 25, 2008.
