hope it improves the movie with better special effects, the jungle scenes where they are running down the gulley are awfull :(

The whole film is a mess and is not a patch on the original! >:(

well, tbh i wouldn`t want to completely slag the film down, most of the kong stuff was excellent (the rex fight + empire state, both superb) but it seemed overly gruesome (the parasite eating the guys head for one) & some of the effects where just awful, not mentioning the bit where the two main characters where hanging from one wing of the pterodactyl (sp) & it still managed to limp to a landing, yet it should have dropped like a stone due to only having the use of one wing (i know, i know, it`s only a movie ;) )

it could be an excellent film if it was re-cut (& not necessarily longer)

It`s out on region 1 on March 28th and in the UK on April 10th.
EzyDVD have a good offfer on for a SE tin set with FREE production diaries. (also April 10th). The Extended edition is due in November!

I thought the film was pure escapism! Extremely well crafted with a perferct ammount of set up, action and emotion! As for the gore, just go back to the old Jackson flicks like Bad Taste, the man`s a gore hound!

Stop the scientific over analysing and just enjoy it for what it is a piece of pure entertainment, plus Jackson does it so well!

I kinda agree with the Ogster, there is a good film there...just not the one I watched LOL, some of the SFX were on the dodgy side but on the whole it was an enjoyable film. Im in 2 minds if Im gonna buy the 2 disk or wait for the extended/recut version

is it gonna get a 4 disk boxset with lil weta statue release like LOTR??
