I just got XXX for £12:99 on region 3. Never got a region 3 title before. Can anyone tell me how good they are in terms of picture audio/picture quality etc. Are there any other cheap region 3 web sites? I got the above from cdwow.

Have you not watched it? Surely you can make a determination from that?
If it`s anything like the R1 it will have a decidedly dodgy black level in certain scenes, but personally I think that`s down to CT being a bit crap lately (Spider-Man for example).
Does the R3 have burned in subtitles, or does the player generate them like the R1? I hate player generated subs!

I bought "We were Soldiers" on R3 for 299 Thai baht, approx £4:30 whilst there. Havent watched it yet though as I just got back yesterday. Picture is as good as I would expect from a DVD though after a quick glance.

All region 3 titles have optional subtitles, and thats including Hong Kong and Japanese films.
