Pearl Harbor - Vista Series Question !

Warney (Competent) posted this on Friday, 12th July 2002, 09:07

Hi guys,

having received my `director`s cut` edition I was amazed when I opened the package to see the thing open out, and open out and .... nearly as wide as the lounge - well not quite !

Anyway I wondered before I try to force anything if there was a way to get the dvd`s out of it`s section without cutting the sticker over the top of it - I hope this makes sense (should to to Vista owners !). Just trying to preserve the feel of the collection ?

many thanks
Warney

I did the same - peel off and stick elsewhere.

Convoluted packaging, but very "1940`s" and "general issue".

Worth it to see Jon Voigt`s chin (or lack thereof).

I plan soon to wear out the Battle of Britain, attack and Doolittle scenes without ever watching any other chapter.

:D

I think we`re all agreed that this must be one of the best-packaged DVDs ever : shame the film`s crap, but never mind :-)

Trust a movie like this to overcompensate.

I agree too this package is fantastic, managed to get the sticker off no probs and stuck it further down, and yes the bombing in DTS is totally amazing not bad for £17.99 from CDWOW, fast delivery too..... :))

Did that too (£16.99 with discount) v.good.

The new cut of the film is much better than the theatrical cut and in my mind makes the film more watchable. The slushy love stuff is just bareable but at least I got the girlfriend to watch a war film all the way through (she even admits it was the slushy stuff that kept her interested - all I could wait for was the fighting...gender divide???)

;)

Does ANYBODY actually LIKE this film?

l saw it in a free preview and laughed during the Battle of Britian scene when they started with their Star Wars dialogue

"Copy Red leader! Going in!", "Watch out for those ties!" "The force is strong in this one"

okay maybe they didnt say that, but l laughed a lot during it.
