Among the specials in this issue of Maplin Spotlight is a wireless TV/ Video link half priced at £ 39.99 spec below :-

Watch your TV, VCR, DVD, Sky satellite, Freeview or cable on a TV in any room in your home without needing to run a wire between them. Simply plug the transmitter into the source device and the receiver into the SCART socket of the TV. . For maximum convenience, the unit also relays the signals from your remote control back to the source so you can use your normal remote control from the other room.

They are also offering 2 way floor standing speakers, again half price reduced from £ 100.00 to £ 49.99 spec below :-

2 x 200W output
· Light beech finish
· Screw terminal fixings
· Ideal for use as front speakers in home cinema systems
· Dims: 80(h)x22(w)x23.5(d)cm
· Weight: 22kg

Our old favourite the touch panel programmable remote control is down from £ 70.00 to £ 40.00 spec thus :-

This high tech LCD panel remote control features a back light and macro functions. It will not only replace your existing remotes, it will even learn from them! Simply point this device at your old remote and press the button you wish to copy and your away. It`s the only remote you`ll ever need. Please note: This is not compatible with some Digital Cable TV Boxes. However it does work with Sky & Sky+

All these offers run until the 10th of July, website here

Cheers

Great spot but just one drawback for NTL/Telewest cable customers - the remote control will not work with these set-top boxes. It will send the video and audio signals but you won`t be able to change channel remotely.

Bloody NTL!

Very nice. My brother was after one of these so I have forwarded him the details. Cheers!

If I click the link and search,

The Video Sender is £69.99

It`s only additional receivers that are £39.99

Or is there a special page that I need to look at?

UPDATE: Sorry -found them now -- Maplin have more than one product.

The product in question is L43AT

So would I.

Despite being unable to use this box to change channel while watching NTL, I decided to get one anyway as the missus likes to be able to watch Big Brother in any room in the house and I might as well keep her sweet. ;-)

As stated above, it was easy to set up and works just fine.

Cheers kywy!

I have both scart sockets in my sky box in use already, will this be a problem, or does it use a pass-through?

In that case you`ll need one of these bad boys.
