Great price but analogue input only.

Been after a 19" for ages - waiting for prices to drop, but prepared to wait a little longer for a DVI

RE: 3000 free texts/month orange payg

Do you know how this works ....

For example

I top-up my daughters phone once every TWO months with £10 -- so she gets £5 a month

The first month she uses the free texts (and tries to minimise calls) and usually only spends around £2 of her allowance, the second month she uses the remaining £8 to utilise texts and calls.

This 100mins + 100 texts looks a good option, but does it only last for 1 month .... i.e. if I topped up £10 every two months would all of the credit disappear at the end of month one - leaving her nothing for month two.

Anyone know - T`s & C`s don`t really make it clear

RE: Twin Widescreen In Car DVD Player £109.99

Fred,

Most of my movies are SVCD and VCD on CD-R`s - from your comments I presume that both units will play these ok?

How poor are the colours on the Zenan? Are you speaking from a home studio buff (i.e. likes perfection) or from an average viewer perception (i.e. would my kids compain about picture quality?)

My Maplin unit arrived today and is waiting for me at home - perhaps I`ll return it under the distance selling regs if I can pick these up from Sainsbury`s at that price (although from Pianeet`s comments it looks like you cracked a great bargain!)

One final question - with the Zanon, can you link two screens to one DVD player .... i.e. play one disc but have both screens showing it??? I only bought one Maplin unit initially but may bag another if they are ok.

RE: Twin Widescreen In Car DVD Player £109.99

I was in Sainsburys - west hove (sussex) - yesterday, buying a DAB radio.

I saw these on display - can`t recall the exact price - but it was well in excess of £110.

Could yours have been a refurbished unit?

I know that on these forums quite regularly very cheap electrical prices pop up in certain Sainsbury`s stores (i.e. not nationwide) and invariably these turn out to be refurbished units that they are selling off cheap.

Having just bought (and awaiting delivery) of the Maplin Zenon, I will be frustrated if this does turn out to be two brand new unkits for only £20 more. (albeit 6" rather than 7")

RE: Tesco.com - £15.00 Off A £50.00 Shop!!!!

How do you enter them in your tesco account without placing an order??

RE: Sky Digital - starter pack £8.99 including remote control !

can you just walk in and pick it off the shelf so to speak? Or do you have to fill in forms etc.

I need a replacement remote control and they are around £15 - so this looks a good deal :D

TESCOS ANNOUNCES JOB REDUNDANCIES DUE TO GAMECUBE FIASCO

For more details see here

I dunno what that was but my work internet system logged it as offensive and refused to let me see it.

Can we have warnings when this kind of thing is posted as I don`t want to get into trouble at work

RE: NEC E616V + £15 calltime for only £41.62

How good is this phone?

Compared to the LG`s that should be on sale soon for only £20 more??

RE: epson r200 49.99 instore

I want this printer but I`m not sure I`ve got the balls to argue this one through

Just how small was the small print?

How easy was it to argue?

Which branch of Dixons?

Wet behind the ear college kid or seasoned floor manager ?

RE: Nokia 7600 now only £39.99 @ Amazon (no calltime purchase necessary)

I`ve a local shop near me (200yds from where I work) that unlocks phones. I popped in this lunchtime and asked him if he could do a 7600?

He flicked through his collection of cables and stuff and saif he didn`t have the right equipment yet but that he could get the necessary equipment in for later in the week.

Obviously I`m the first person to ask him about a 7600! He didn`t appear that knowledgeable on the process for 7600`s (i mentioned the missing network item) so he has obviously not done that phone before. However I`m sure that he could if he resets all other types of phones.

He mentioned it would probably just need a hardware reset.

My question is ....

What else disappears on a hardware reset.

Do any settings that I may want to get back disappear? Should I be taking note of certain settings - as I may still want to use the phone for `3` - but also to chop and change with other 2g Sims.

He wants £10 - no postage, no fuss so seems ok pricewise.... but if this is a complex process am I taking any risks....

If I was to use one of the sendaway services, the same question applies - do I need to take a note of anything in the phone before sending it away?

RE: Woolworths mobiles - absolutely astounding deals!!!

Good grief, that was quick...

Surely no one will "buy" the link from this guy...

TWO people bought it ... so he`s made £9.98 --- will he refund them if they are unsuccessful I wonder??

Is it half-price with anything else other than Digital Cameras?

It`s a GigaAir 2424

Installed easily. works like a dream .... would thoroughly recommend it on first days performance.

RE: Half price Video/DVD link

The Video Sender is £69.99

It`s only additional receivers that are £39.99

And a very bad reputation to boot

RE: Carphone Warehouse/ Orange phone. Anyone got their cheque yet?!??!

When I spoke to them they told me I didn`t need to send anything and that their systme would automatically issue the cheque 14 WORKING days after the conclusion of the fourth month.

I was then told to allow a further three weeks for the cheque to reach me and if nothing had arrived by that time - in effect 6 weeks after the end of the complete 4th month, then I should contact them.

Needless to say I will be chasing them a long time before that !!

RE: Bargain Universal Mobile Phone Hands Free Kit £2.49 ON Play.com!!

RE: Portable DVD Player - £59

particularly in playing SVCD / VCD

RE: Portable DVD Player - £59

thinking of getting one for when I go away with family/kids to caravan sites / country cottages etc that always provide TV`s but not DVD players ... but I need to make sure that I can connect it to all TV`s.

RE: Cheap Rechargeable Batteries!

I was going to add that.

Basically all home shopping does is sent a member of staff around the shop picking up your requests - and not delivering those that are out of stock

Considering the delivery charge involved you might consider adding some other stuff to bulk the order up - you then run the risk of getting the makeweight items but not the batteries!!

RE: Police Auctions/Bankrupt stock Auctions?? - help required

Lee Evans Video

£1.00 .. seems reasonable

BUT .... £14.99 P & P :o :o :o

RE: Dixons 128 Mb SD card. £29.99. 4 days only.

I went into Dixons in Brighton today and said that I`d been told about this deal.

He said ... "How many do you want!!"

I just took the one, but apparantely people had been "filling their boots" so to speak!

Thanks for the tip-off :)
