RE: cd wow spartacus delay

Yeah i managed to get spartacus for £16.49 so im not complaining too much....it does bite a bit though
;)

cd wow spartacus delay

I ordered Spartacus 2 disc criterion ed from cd wow on Feb 1st and although the money has been debited i still havent recieved the disc. They e mailed me to tell me that it should be back in stock by the 9th(it wasn`t), and so after emailing them they`ve now told me that it should be back in stock and despatched on the 13th(it hasn`t).Has anyone else had any delays with spartacus or any other criterion release from cd wow?
I use them all the time and marvel at their service, but it does p**s me off that they debit the money before sending discs out..... :(

RE: Advice required from Pink Floyd fans!

Being a devoted Floyd fan for many years i would have to strongly agree with the last post....You must get the final cut and the new remastered `Live in Pompeii` DVD is essential. However, the mother of all floyd albums is the sacd(super audio compact disc) 5.1 version of dark side of the moon! It`s without doubt totally stunning(worth the price of a sacd player alone). In fact i did buy a lovely sony dvd/sacd player purely for DSOTM and the Bob Dylan back catalogue and have never looked back!!
Roger waters 3 solo albums( `the pros and cons of hitch-hiking,radio kaos and amused to death) are also excellent(very floydy); and dave gilmores` early solo efforts are also worth checking out too.
hope this helps you on your search for more things floyd!

RE: dvd audio/sacd have they caught on?

not too sure about dvd-audio but sacd is the nuts! check out pink floyds master-work dark side of the moon for proof! also bob dylan has had 15 of his back catalogue released on sacd(though only 6 are in multi channel for some reason).Loads of the rolling stones back catalogue is now available.the only problem is that there seems to be a lack of new albums coming out in sacd but thats due to change, again with bob dylan and the bootleg series volume 6 being the first new release as a hybrid disc.

RE: Kill Bill, japanese cut more extreme?

according to an interview in this months Empire magazine, the western cut will show the more extreme scenes in black and white(natural born killers anyone?) while the easterrn market will have it in full glorious colour!!
Heads up for the region 3 disc me-thinks!
also i hope this encourages somebody-like anchor bay-to release a good anamorphic uncut print of Shogun Assassin?

RE: Music Cd Copy Control?

Is this the same copy control as Radioheads new album Hail to the thief?cos i cant play that in my car or copy the disc into my p.c to play as mp3s on my malkman!its a bummer considering i`ve paid my money for an official release and can only play it indoors! :/

RE: Alien (no `s`) Special Edition

From what i can gather via various rumours etc is that alien 3 will have nearly 40 minutes of different footage added and alien 4 will have a new ending with ripley arriving on earth only to find it infested with aliens! in this age of CGI a new ending would be pretty easy to do....any thoughts?

RE: Seimens SL55 - Anyone got one?

I`m on my second one in 6 weeks! I`m not that impressed to be honest. It may look nice but avoid getting one on vodafone if you can, as i`m unable to download anything to it apart from a few limited ringtones.I`ve also had problems with people calling/texting me from thier Orange phones.I`ve been told that Vodafone Live will not be supporting this handset too!
It may look nice (and it does look really nice) but im sure theres better equiped ones out there (i kinda wish i`d kept my faithful nokia after all!!)

RE: Question about the Battle Royale Special Edition tin.

Try this comparison site of both the theatrical and special editions....cool site

RE: Play USA...

i work in a royal mail delivery office (for my sins) and i`ve noticed in the last couple of weeks that the number of customs charges on box sets(or anything over £18)sent by play/USA has risen considerably.dont get me wrong,i`m a fan of play myself but ever since i got stung £11 for the R1 jurassic park box set i`ve turned my alliance to cd-wow or future entertainment as they never seem to get caught out.....just thought i`d pass that pearl of wisdom onto you guys....

RE: Where to go in New York?

If you`re into music then check out the Chelsea Hotel (its where sid killed nancy, bob dylan stayed a while in the 60s as did leonard cohen and janis joplin, dylan thomas lived and died there too...) also check out chelsea guitars next door and say hello to Dan!
The library is very impressive...it might have the declaration of independance on display which is cool.
Grand Central station is amazing (remember the ballroom dance from the fisher king?)
Central park..the chrysler building..china town(look for cheap dvds)..little italy(good food)
In fact its all really good...i`ve been a few times and it never fails to blow me away, go to all the tourist-y places as they are all pretty cool...theres also some great bars with live music(try b.b.kings or the supper club if you feel flash)
If you`re looking for dvds then shop around as prices can vary quite a bit and they`re not always cheaper than you might be used to online.
hope this is of some help?

RE: Superbit titles

Gladiator wasn`t the first DTS title on R2...there was the odd music dvd which had it(Roy Orbison A Black and White Night springs to mind)...however, Dreamworks did seem to start the ball rolling with Gladiator and also Chicken Run at the same time if i`m not mistaken?

RE: the matrix for under £3

sorry forgot!! its on dvd at £2.95!

the matrix for under £3

saw this in my local blockbuster ex-rental...which was nice...ive already got it(as most people do), but a good bargain none the less!!

rules of attraction R3

I noticed that cd-wow is doing the rules of attraction R3 for £5.99!! this is a bargain in itself, but does anyone know if its cut like the R1 version?
