I have the disc have not watched it yet
but if it is any thing like the concerts earlier
this year it will be the dogs b*%%*!&$

RE: Using PS2 with Digital Amp?

The only thing I can think off
is are you connecting the PS2 to
the amp with an optical lead, if not
you need to get one, if you are then
go to the system menu on the PS2 and
make sure that the optical out is
switched on

hope this helps

RE: Pro-Logic 2: The Return

The Lexicon dc 1 does every thing pro logic 1 & 2 DD 5.1EX DTS ES
all for the wonderful price £8100
Nice if you can afford it

RE: U2 Elevation DVD single - Any good

It has the tomb raider video
the tomb raider version of the song
and a brief mtv making of the video
the sound is only pro logic though

RE: Ps2 and ntsc

No is the quick answer
but you can get a multi region chip
now and it will output ntsc
dont know where to get this though
i think techtronics do one but they
dont get very good reviews from other
users on this site.

hope this helps

RE: DVD PURITY TEST 16%!!

79% I think i need
to get out more often

RE: best sound moment in a movie ever!your thoughts?!

This is very sad but it has to be
the THX EX demo like the thx test
screen but half way through it breaks
down and tex the janitor comes on scrren
to fix the test the way he flies round
all 7 speakers and makes his repairs is
amazing
also the opening scenes of T2 ultimate
edition in dd ex just has to be listen to
its awsome.
anyone who has been thinking of upgrading
to DD EX,DTS ES go and have a demonstration
at a good retailer.
ps after demo your bank balance wont be healthy

RE: Price or service?

No question ut has to be service

RE: What you got mofo?

Pioneer 717 still the best

RE: Best Multi-Remote?

I have the Phillips Pronto and so far every thing
i have programed into it has worked ,Panasonic tv,
Panasonic video,Grundig sky digital decoder,Pioneer
717 dvd,Denon a10 amp and my Pioneer NS8 mini system
it does every thing on all of these.
It is a pig to program without pronto edit on.
You can download the software from Phillips for
free from there website and it has some good links
to sites like remote central.
www.pronto.phillips.com/

Hope this helps

RE: Just one film that shows off your home cinema the best

The best sounding has got to be the
opening sequence of T2 UE from the
revamped thx logo on also saving private ryan
dts.
best picture has to be gladiator

RE: Denon DVD F-100, Any views on quality etc????

Check out Home Cinema Choice magazine
or thier web site sorry i dont know the address

RE: Sound Systems

Give us a clue on a budget and you may get
some ideas

RE: Speaker stands

Target stands are very resonable for quality and price
well made and solid

hope this helps

RE: Whats the Cheapest DTS surround speaker set but quite good aswell?

Richer sounds seems to be a good place for cheap kit.
dts does not require special speakers any home cinema
speakers will do , but you will need a dts/Dolby Digtal amp.
spend as much as you can afford on your speakers, sub woofer
it will save you in the long run as they wont need replacing when
the time comes for a more serious amp.

hope this helps

RK

RE: Predator ?

I also have this film in both versions that have been released in the us
the picture on the dolby digital version is great but the sound not so good
the picture on the dts version is the worst on any dvd i have but the sound is fantastic.
It is not the players fault I have a Pioneer 717

RE: Playstation 2 dvd player

The dvd is fine if you go and by some decent conectors
monster do an s-video conector and it really improves the
picture but it is expensive £60 .
do not bother trying to hack or chip your psx 2 because it
does not out put the ntsc signal so even if you hack/chip
it the picture will be black and white.
hape this helps

RE: dvd chips

Techtronics is the only one that I can
think of .
But check out the retailer reviews forum they
get a mixed reception from people that have
used them.
If possible try and get the parragon chip it will
give you all regions in a manual switching format
so it safe and RCE is beaten so you can play all
discs depending on which player you have
I have a Pioneer dv717 and no disc has beaten it yet
hope this helps

RE: DTS decoding

Denon do a dts decoder AVD-1000 take a look at this
site for a review www.homecinemachoice.com/testbench/index.html
your amp will need to have 5.1 input to conect the decoder
also if your amp is not Dolby Digital already you will
be better of getting a new amp which can do both sound formats
good luck hope this helps

RE: Amp or receiver, what is the difference ?.

They are the same except the receiver has a built in radio tuner

Pounds TV

I have used this retailer for all of my kit
and they are fantastic. They are in enfield
north london their customer service is second
to none they specialise in the home cinema
from the mid range up to the top the range
they have had a lot of their instalations in
home cinema choice magazine.
They are not the cheapest but I regard customer service
and surpport over ten or twenty pounds.

RE: 5.1 surround - what do I need?

You will need to buy an amp that is dolby digital/dts compatible.
if you want to use it for music as well invest in a DENON they
about as good as it gets for home cinema and music there are a
lot of amps out there but the vast majority are only good at one
or the other.I would also recomend some decent speakers and a good sub
