Where do you recycle those. Shall i put them in the glass container, or is there a special collection point for it? Thanks

RE: MP3 what is the best site to download

Hi Miles, thanks for the reply. What does it mean exactly when you say "The ones from iTunes are linked to whatever account you buy them with, so will only work with that account.", once I download a track to my PC, I should be able to load it onto my (future) ipod or existing mp3s I have got right now? Am I correct. Thanks

MP3 what is the best site to download

May have been asked in the past but could not find anything in the search result (went through the 20 first pages). I am thinking to get an Ipod, what is the best legal site to download music? Thanks for any replies

RE: Best deal for the Wii

Hmm. The only I can see is from Argos and nowhere near me. Checked Asda website but could not find the console just games. If you have a direct link please post it. Thanks.
JC

RE: Best deal for the Wii

Same at Tesco and Game (£179). But as I was quoted £52 for extra controls at Game which seems a bit expensive. Will check Hotukdeals.co.uk though, thanks for that.

Best deal for the Wii

My wife wants to get a Wii for my son`s birthday. Saw the deal at Game, Tesco etc., just wondering if anybody knows a better deal somewhere else (extra controls etc.) thanks.

RE: Question about the Emirates Stadium

ok thanks, I am just worried to get there and then some idiots telling me that I can`t go in with my camera and I would be stuffed. I don`t have any intention to sell the pics (not that I produce pics of that quality anyway). I have tried to find a number for the stadium but nothing on the website, except if you are purchasing tickets.
Thanks

Question about the Emirates Stadium

I am taking my son to watch Brazil vs Sweden in a couple of weeks. Can anybody tell me if I can take my SLR Digital camera (with zoom) to take a few pics? Thanks

RE: Anyone here go to the gym?

Quote:
And then I knew I was not fit.

No, you knew you weren`t fit by someone else`s standards.
Chances are you were quite fit.
I was quite fit, but I dare say a royal marine wouldn`t think so.
But I didn`t care what anyone else thought, I knew what I was doing was working because I could feel it.
No offence, but this crossfit mob are a business.
They wouldn`t get very far if they turned everyone away with a "no, you`re fine mate, bye".

I hear you, but being fit is different for everybody. I see at the gym guys thtat look "fitter" than me, but is you were to ask them to do 100 pulls ups, they just could not. "The Crossfit mob are a businessfitness" well so far it has not cost me a penny, I am still going to the same gym (Fitness First), I have not bought anything (yet), I just use their free website to pick up my work out. I suppose I could by their tee shirt or any other merchandise they sell, but I am not interested in that.
I don`t want to get into the argument of what is best, that was just my 2 pennies, anyway anyone doing any kind of activity is already doing something in the right direction. Better than to sit on the sofa every nite watching TV.

RE: Anyone here go to the gym?

Been a gym goer most of my adult life. Thought of myself quite fit, until I started to do CrossFit (www.crossfit.com). And then I knew I was not fit. I have been at it since January of this year, my fitness has increased considerably. I dont have to spend ages at the gym, sometimes the workouts look small but believe me if done properly they will kill you.

RE: no signal on my mobile

Yeah thought about that, see if someone can help. Cheers

no signal on my mobile

I have got a Motorola V3 and when I am in my office (6th floor, London City) i don`t get any signal. I thought that it was my network (T-Mobile) and switched to ORange. But it is still the same. I get a weak signal if I get close to a window. Has anyone with a V3 the same problem? By the way everyone else in the office get a good signal with their phone.

I am thinking to buy another phone but obviously don`t want to have the same problem. I am waiting for the N95 or Viewty to come down in price (i am only a light user), the 5mpixel camera is the main reason to get one of those. Can anyone recommend a phone with good camera (min 3.2mgpixel) that pick up a good signal.

THanks
JC

RE: what type of cable to connect monitor...

Cheers Miles, I think you are right. The monitor is just a normal LCD 17", the connector point is green (as in the sound card exit). I will order one from Ebay as I will probably pay less P&P
JC

what type of cable to connect monitor...

what type of cable to connect monitor speakers to the sound card do I need? I need the exact term as I need to order it on the net and don`t want to buy the wrong thing. Thanks

RE: Gun light for PS2

Stephen many thanks for the reply, it is working now!! One happy child (and his dad too). BTW, your link is not working but it was not needed as your explanation were really clear, thanks again.

Gun light for PS2

Bought a Gun light for my son PS2, the gun is second hand and did not come with any instruction, try to search the net but could not find any answer. The gun comes with the normal PS2 controller connection, an USB connector and also a yello jack with both male and female, there is also a pedal to reload the gun that needs to be connected to the gun. I tried this morning on our LCD tv and read somewhere that sometimes those guns could not work on LCD. So I connected the PS2 and the gun on a CRT TV and still the it does not work, the message on the screen says check the connection of the gun. Could anyone tell me how to connect the gun to the PS2, do I use the normal connector and leave the USB connector alone, and what is that yellow jack with male and female? Many thanks.

RE: PS2 second hand

Thanks guys, ordered one. Sorry JimBo but the offer was too good, £65 for a brand new one.
JC

RE: PS2 second hand

Essex but work in the CIty.
JC

RE: PS2 second hand

Hi Jimbo, if you sell it what are you looking at for the money? Thanks.

PS2 second hand

RE: HP repayment on a car question, thanks

Thanks guy, my friend went back to Fiat and they are taking back the car and will be swapping for a smaller/cheaper one on which she can afford the repayment.
JC

HP repayment on a car question, thanks

On behalf of a friend could anyone help with this query, thanks.

"`What options do I have with regard to not being able to afford the HP repayments on my 2 year old car? Purchased the car new from Fiat in March 2005 for 15,000 with monthly repayments of 300 over 5 years. Is it best to let the finance company come and take the car away - what are the implications of this? Or, is it best to attempt to trade in somehow at the Fiat dealership?"

RE: having problem with my Sky reception

Hi Rassilon, yes it is raining actually, but why does it affect only a few channels? [water ingress into the cable\connector] Are you talling about where the cable connect to the LNB? If so what is the solution? Thanks very much
JC

having problem with my Sky reception

For the past few weeks some of the channels have started to malfunction. The picture on the TV pixelates, stalls, jerks etc. Just called Sky but as I am out of warranty with the box they ask me to pay £65 to send someone over (which i refused straight away).

I have moved the dish a few weeks ago because of building work, but did not notice any malfunctions. It tends to do it in the evening (well p***ed off because I was watching Spooks tonight and I had to stop the channel). This does not do it on all channels, so it is not a problem with my tv. Signal strenght is good.

Anyone knows what could be the problem. Thanks

RE: drill recommendation

Thanks guys, will be looking for one that comes with a spare battery and a recharge time no longer than 3 hours. I am not a professional but for example last time I was doing my decking I had to stop and switch to my hammer drill (not cordless) and it was a real pain.
B&D, Bosch seem to be a good choice, saw that Amazon sells one (no spare battery though) but free P&P. Will have a look at ScrewFix too and see what I come with.
Cheers
JC

drill recommendation

Need to change my cordless drill, can anyone recommend a good one without spending a forture (can`t afford Makita, DeWalt etc). Was looking at the Wickes one for just under £40.

RE: Currys not honouring a deal

OK just back from Currys, problem has been resolved after many discussion. They agreed to "give me" another Samsung that match the dimensions of the other one. They did try to ask for an extra £150 but after a while they gave up. The only thing is that it is black instead of silver, but it looks quite class and will still match the rest of the kitchen colour scheme.
PS: Bowfers at the time that we bought the fridge they never said that there was no stock, they just oversold a product without thinking that the customers will get p$%^off by not receiving it. The worse things is that they still have it on for sale but at £999 (with no stock of course) could not understand that one.
