RE: V for Vendetta £7.99

To be fair, the original V story was started in the early 80`s and finished in 1988 by Alan Moore, a full decade before The Matrix. It`s also worth noting that the Wachowski brothers were massive fans of V (they started off as comic book writers before they became involved in films) and their dream was to make a V For Vendetta film adaptation. They shopped the script around for years, and when they couldn`t get it made (despite the fact it was optioned by Warner Bros for many years), they moved on to the Matrix. While the ideas are similar in some (very superficial) ways, I think it`s a little unfair to say that V is a rip off of The Matrix.. or even vice versa.

RE: LOTR:TT:Ex - Anybody noticed they cleaned up the scene where...

Not sure what you mean - looked the same to me. It look great in the cinema and it still looks great to me:)

RE: Temple Of Doom...

I`ve got the Region 1 Uncut version but, to be honest, I wish I`d stuck with the Region 2 verion of Doom. The main scene that was cut (close up of a man`s heart being ripped out of his chest etc) is actually a very cheesy effect. It`s probably the weakest special effect in the the whole trilogy.Really naff. It`s worth watching for posterity but I could live without it.

RE: Indiana Jones

The picture is indeed amazing especially in the latter two films but although the sound is very good (and loud) does anyone else have the problem that the center channel is a bit quiet compared to the surrounds? Maybe it`s just me cause I`m using the on board decoder on my Pioneer 626, but sometimes the dialogue is drowned out by the music... which sounds incredible now... but still.

RE: Attacks on Afghanistan.

Love Sonorous.

RE: Terminator 2 Ultimate Edition(R1)

Bought it in December last year. It was double-sided. Don`t know if this has been discontinued since.

French DVDs? Where can I get the R2 French Momento?

I`ve heard that the French version of Momento allows you to watch the film in cronological order (I`m sure I could program my DVD to play it the right way with a bit of effort... but... I`m too lazy!) . Plus it`s already out there before anywhere else:)

Anyone know a decent site for French DVDs?

Thanks all.

Peace
