    Synopsis:
Trevor is a teenage skinhead. Caught smashing the windows of a Pakistani owned shop, he is sent to an assessment centre by social worker Harry where it is discovered he is highly articulate and intelligent. But he escapes, steals cars and goes berserk, can Harry still save him?

Tim Roth made an unforgettable screen debut as the tattooed, contemptuous racist Trevor. Tim Roth`s performance is one of the most stunning debuts I`ve ever seen. The Stedicam employed by director Alan Clarke establishes tension and makes us intimate with this character.
Watching this film with the Oldham race riots in mind, I found the message to be very poignent.
