    Synopsis:
“We’re called Jossy’s Giants. Football’s just a branch of science” The show fondly remembered by a generation of football mad kids that grew up in the '80s.Directed by Edward Pugh (Grange Hill / Byker Grove) and written by much-loved TV personality and darts commentator Sid Waddell. Jossy's Giantsfollows the ups-and-downs of a youth football club, the Glipton Grasshoppers, a struggling team of young misfits who are yet to win a match.

Jim Barclay starred as Jossy Blair, a former professional footballer for Newcastle United, whose career was cut tragically short after he injured himself in his first match.

He is convinced by the boys of the Glipton Grasshoppers to manage their team instead, who are in desperate need of his expert help. But with some organisation, a change of attitude, and a lot of humour along the way, he transforms them into a respectable team, the Glipton Giants.

Featuring guest appearances from some of the biggest names in football at the time, including Bobby Charlton and then-England captain Bryan Robson.
