www.under18.org.uk - Any good??

sportsmimic (Competent) posted this on Friday, 1st June 2001, 10:03

I have used Play and DVD Box Office, both of which have been great, but I`ve noticed under18.org.uk have some good prices but am a bit wary as I`ve never used them. Can someone let me know what they are like.
I will be eternally grateful!
Aaron

`ve used them a couple of times, some prices are v good. But they are v slow at delivery. Watch them though, they claim theya re vat free prices, but boxsets and the like are not vat free, they cost more than vat free.

But for cheapness they aren`t bad.

I ordered a copy of Crouching Tiger from Under18 for £11.99 and got it the day after release. I`d use them again. :-)

I preordered Crouching Tiger back in May - they say they shipped on Saturday but I have not received mine yet.

How many other people have recevied / still waiting?

Still waiting - pre-ordered it for £11.99 - had a quick look at my back statement online and I think the cheeky feckers have debited £13.99 today (transactions pending). Need to get that sorted out.

Just received mine around 14:30.

Duder,
I spoke to them ealier this morning and they said that all the pre-orders left Jersey on Saturday. That would probably explain the debit today - but doesnt explain the higher charge. I know they upped the price to £13.99 a week or two ago.

I am off to check my credit card online...

I ordered mine about six weeks ago at £11.99. It hasn`t shown yet (i.e. my postal delivery on Tuesday 19th).

Just checked my credit card statement. £11.99 debited on the 14th June by Toppers(CI)Ltd Jersey - I assume that is them. Cheeky monkeys, considering it hasn`t arrived. To me that is debiting before the goods are sent out, even if they sent it Saturday !!!

Just re-checked my statement - the £13.99 debit was for something else (sorry for doubting you Under 18). (bloody bank`s putting things through as transactions pending without a description).

Anyhow - no DVD nor no money taken - yet.....
