Inside No 9 (Psychoville writers' new show)

Only watched ep 1 so far, but it was excellent, very well written, and acted.

it's a black comedy/drama rather than "just" a black comedy, and they've got a really good cast lined up for the series. It was interesting because in the 1st ep, the cast were all known as comedy actors, but apart from 2 people, it was acted very seriously.

Each episode is a 1 off story, so doesn't matter if you miss any.

Yeah, it's very good.

Actually thought the first ep was decent but the second head and shoulders better.

wow, watched the 2nd one tonight, completely different to the first, since this was more like a traditional farce, so much funnier, but still dark :)

brilliant again last week.
SPOILER:

they caught me out a treat with their double bluff, I was thinking, how disapointing it was that the tramp was his "imaginary friend", could see that coming a mile off, to be pleasently surprised when the teacher turns up :)

wow, been a really good series, then last night's (last one) was amazing.

each week's story very different, and last night's was like a feature length horror film, in 30 mins, but it didn't feel rushed. Shows what talented writers they, as often in things like Dr Who, we've noticed the 2 parters are good, but the regular episodes seem rushed, like they cram too much in, but this show has worked really well every week.

The direction, music, set design, costume were all really good last night's, maybe they had a budget for the series, so scimped where they could each episode to go all out for the finale :)

anyway, WWAW.

ooh, just found this from this from
Psychoville's facebook page, special interactive 7th episode!

The last episode had a touch of the "Carry On Screamings" about it (deliberately I think).

SPOILER:
but I thought there would be more of a twist; I was waiting for the first girl to be the 'real' demon but she really was just the victim.

Ep 1 was v good, farce and black comedy in one, enjoyed it a lot :)

Ep 2 completely different, not particularly funny ( it wasn't meant to be) but very gripping and extremely well written, directed and acted.

only just got round to finishing this (we get behind on TV a lot these days), watched episodes 5 and 6 last couple of nights, had fogtton how good it is.

again, they keep you guessing until the end what's going to happen, and when it's not being funny, it's very gripping

As I've said before, they're clearly very talented writers, and have a good team with them bringing the best out of the different actors involved, there's a lot fo attention to detail, and I think with repeated viewing there's probably a lot of hidden gems to find :)

Hopefuly it gets a 3rd series, all killer, no filler :)
