RE: LOTR THE TWO TOWERS 4 DISC SET CHEAP!!!!

On the off-chance anyone cares - this is available in R1 ever so slightly cheaper at DVD Soon - £17.85 at current USD rate.

Just FYI, but I think I`m banking the R2.

RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50

Yes, they were, around 11:30am 8 Aug, when I ordered one.

They probably saw the demand go up and decided that they`d like to make some profit!

RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50

Yeah, looks like they`ve put the price up (or on)...

That was short-lived then...

RE: Keyring Digital Camera under £ 10.00

Received my Camera + bundle of their latest software today. Called them and said I wanted to return the software, and they`ve knocked off an extra £40 - I now have Camera, PhotoPlus 8, PagePlus 8 and DrawPlus 7 for sub-£40.

Not bad for fully licenced software, the software itself is actually quite good if you`re after something noddy and easy-to-use. Not everyone`s cup of tea, of course.

RE: Keyring Digital Camera under £ 10.00

Be ready for a strong sell from some Nottingham chick on their latest products as well (Photoplus 8.0, Pageplus 8.0, Drawplus 7.0) - I managed to wangle postage and packaging down to £3 by taking them up on the full lot, and extended the returns period from 30 to 60 days!

RE: pioneer 105 below £95.00!!

k15h,

If you really want to learn, I suggest starting with a general search over the internet for this information.

To set you off, have a look at www.dvdrhelp.com/dvd or www.dvddemystified.com/dvdfaq.html#4.3.

RE: Free Cupholders!!!

LOL.

>...be careful with what you post please.

More like be careful what you click on...

Lets not forget, you`re not forced to visit the website.

Msg for original poster... Good laff - shame it doesn`t work in NT (no Windows Media Player 7 available). Worked out what it was supposed to do from looking at the source code though.

Cheers,

Keith

RE: Amazon Boo Boo on iPAQ H1910 - £10.55

All extremely good points, Mark. I agree with you, and you certainly haven`t caused offence. :-)

I particularly agree with you about the some good companies out there. All they have to do is keep doing the good work that they do on customer service, having strict stock control procedures, learning from other online trader`s mistakes (whether this be in the way they deal with the public, or in behind-the-scenes ways), and keeping prices at the point where customers keep coming back. I can see these companies continuing to succeed, even in the face of others in their sector falling to bits.

As the overall retail sector goes, the online retail sector is so young and naive wrt consumers, suppliers and delivery mechanism. We`re all riding it. At times it`s fun, at times it`s frustrating - such is the beast.

Sites like DVD Reviewer play a very important role in helping with the evolution of online retailing - of course in this case especially with the world of DVDs.

I don`t think I was going anywhere with this post, just thought I`d post my thoughts. :-)

RE: Amazon Boo Boo on iPAQ H1910 - £10.55

Yes, my sarcastic postings were meant to convey that general sentiment as well, Mark. Apols if it was a little too abstract ;-)

However, you can`t blame the consumer for trying it. What if they *did* honour it? Some of us would have what we wanted at a very good deal - we`d certainly be happy.

I don`t think anyone on here is stupid enough to *expect* them to pay out, especially when it`s all written in their Terms & Conditions (which, of course, as conscientious online shoppers, we always read before we enter into any transaction).

All in all, made a good discussion point in the office for the day... ;-)

Amazon Boo Boo on iPAQ H1910 - £10.55

It`s been a while tho, so you might miss it...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008W5UT/202-9649433-0886209?tag=myrev09-21

I predict this thread growing with the usual "They won`t honour it", "I expect this to be honoured or I`ll sue them" kind of comments.

RE: LG 32` nicam, superflat, pureflat £379 inc del

I would tend to do this out of the back of a Video and when I want to here stuff through the Amp, switch it to go through the Video.

Point taken though.

RE: 8 Way LCD Panel Learning Remote Control £39.99

I believe (someone put me right on this if I`m wrong) that this is like a UCommand 515 (from http://www.crispsolutions.com). Searching on Google for e-pilot remote or ucommand 515 brings up tons of reviews.

This will not help replace a remote that you`ve lost unless you can borrow one from someone else that works on your system, since the remote has no pre-programmed signals (i.e. it must learn them all, and if you don`t have the original remote this will be difficult! That said it sounds like it`s really easy to program, and reviews have said that it takes under an hour to program in a whole set of systems!)

RE: Amazon half price sale.

Careful going head-first on this one... noticed that you can get some of these DVDs cheaper from various sites searchable via http://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk .

Hehehe, and you expect this to work, say, the third time someone goes there?

Well done for getting them free yourself though.

RE: New DVDs at CD-WOW (at last) - UPDATED 04/03!

Be warned that you`ll get an introduction pack through the post each time you sign up - I suppose you can just dump them in the bin, but I get enough junk mail as it is...
