Dual sim cards

allmyusernamesweretaken (Competent) posted this on Monday, 16th April 2007, 23:14

I need to be able to switch between 2 mobile networks - Manx Pronto and O2, I`ve been looking at dual sim holders, but can`t make head nor tail

Some need you to cut your sim cards, have read that others can reduce your battery life by upto 70%.........

Is there anyone out there knowledgable about this type of thing? As obviously I `m not :/ I`ve got a Motorola V3 btw.

Cheers.

Im no expert, but i had a V3 and needed Voda and T Mob and i searched ebay and found a ghost (dual sim) sim card adapter. Worked perfectly for me.......no cutting of sim cards (not recommended as my mate screwed his simcard up doing this). The way it worked was by turning your phone on and voda would appear, turn off and back on for T mob. As there aint much space, the back cover only just clicks back on but it worked a treat.

Battery issues? Well it was fine for me.......my only prob was that as the phone was on voda, it meant any calls to T mob were missed as the phone was switched off. Check ebay but make sure you get the right one as they are NOT all same.

Thanks, I`ve blagged a 2nd phone from a mate, looks slightly obnoxious carrying two phones around, but it`ll do for now :¦

The irony is Manx Pronto and O2 are the same company......why can`t firms just simplify things?!
