Page 1 of Cello DVD recorder £49.99 in Co-op

My local co-op is selling the Cello DR-810 DVD recorder for £49.99. I believe it`s nationwide - ours is just a wee corner shop, so I`d expect the rest to have them as well.

The spec looks not bad - DVD+R/+RW, RGB scart out (and I think in), s-video in, optical out, DV / firewire in for DVCam input, up to 6 hours recording, progressive scan output, all the usual stuff

Where is your Co-op ?

The Co-op is NOT a nationwide store despite the stores being all over the UK.

I expect this offer is only available in a small region and a handfull of stores at the most.

My co-op is in Stirling, central Scotland. However, when I looked for reviews on the player, I found a few comments on other forums mentioning the same thing - so it`s more than just mine (but may not be nationwide)

They had some in the Co-op in Totton, near Southampton yesterday.

The dinky corner shop near me have them.(plymouth) or they did a few days ago, they`re behind till.

Had em in the Worthing store yesterday complete with a 10% off all non-food promotion taking them down to just £45

But are they actually any good?

Had some in Grimsby/Wybers Wood store today.

Bought one yesterday at my Blaydon branch,got it home set it up no problem,put on timer to check out operation.Got up this morning switched on sound no picture.Off to work so have to wait till I get home to see if all connections are ok :(
