Fuppin ParcelForce

>:( >:( Okay, not strictly a retailer but....

Ordered some stuff on friday and I paid £10 for saturday delivery. Wait in all day, no parcel. Of course nobody to shout at over the weekend, so i just kick the cat (stuff was URGENT)

Expected to come home today to a card saying `you were out Blah blah blah` but no, no card. Try online tracking it, it claims it is at my depot as they could not locate my address!!!! WHAT!!!! The house has been here for 60 years!!!! They have been here loads of times - what they mean is `delivery driver late for lunch, couldn`t be arsed` - (in the past i have actually seen him pull up, get out with the `missed you` card, and just put that through the letter box without even trying to deliver the parcel). So i go on the website to see what time the depot is open till, as i could go and collect it tonight maybe. But alas no opening times are given `call this number to get opening times` so i call it, and guess what the call centre is closed even though i know the damn depot isn`t but i need to see if they shut at 6 or 6.30 before driving for 40 minutes to get there accross town only to find they are closed. This is alegedly the super new website and call system. And then to round it off, the complaint form is about 5 pages long, just to make you not feel like bothering to fill it in. >:( >:( >:( >:( Rant Over. For Now.

actually i have had plenty good experience with parcelforce. i remember running late and so i called up the depot (the number was on the card) and just said look i am coming in from way over here and maybe like 1-2 mins late can you take the box out from the secure cage and i will just run in and get it. they did and i got it from the guy just about to leave.

plus, you should read my rant about dhl here www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=222&Thread=287218

You always get the odd delivery man who is nothing short of pathetic.

I had some idiot deliver something to me recently and he rang the door waited for up to 2 secs and was running back into his van with the package. I had to shout at the idiot to stop him from driving off, impatient little wt[at].t

My local one once took a parcel home for me, as I was out, signing for it himself! Only problem was, I got home 20 minutes later, went to track my order, found it marked delivered and signed for by a total stranger. It took me a lengthy call to the depot to find out where it had gone, and they didn`t seem too worried about their drivers signing for things they were meant to be delivering. When I finally managed to catch someone in at his house, they said `any idea what it looks like` and his hall was full of parcels :o
