RE: Blockbuster online - garbage!!!

Blockbusters have been the best for me. Best turnaround, fast replies to emails and a refund when you decide to cancel.

RE: Anyone use online DVD Rental service??

When my free trials expire I always return the last set of DVDs with at least 5 days to spare and a certificate of posting which is free.

This gives you solid concrete proof that your returned them when you say you did.

RE: Doctor Who Bargain!!

Wasn`t exactly behind the sofa suspense.

I mean Mannequins on the rampage, what exactly was the budget?
BBC executive: `Scrounge around in the bins at the local Burton store for the props.`

The highlight of the show was when the nationwide man appeared, I was awaiting his immortal words of `Brand New Customers Only`.

I`ll probably give it another chance next week seeing as I find the geordie chavs on the other side even more irritating.

RE: Lovefilm 3 for 1 month offer.

I heard even new customers are using the 3 for month link.

Hope Lovefilm have enough to go around.

RE: Lovefilm 3 for 1 month offer.

I have just rejoined and my next billing date is 27th March. I don`t think I got the 3 months for 1. >:(

RE: Lovefilm 3 for 1 month offer.

The email I received does not have a link to rejoin?

Do I have to start a new free trial?

Thanks for the help.

RE: Lovefilm 3 for 1 month offer.

I might give them a go then, but I think I will wait until Tuesday as we have a few bank holidays coming up and they do not operate on weekends.

Was you able to check the billing date as soon as you rejoined or did you have to contact them?

RE: ACTOR LINK GAME

Benicio Del Toro - Traffic

RE: Lovefilm, Online Rentals Ltd

What kind of turnaround do lovefilm offer nowadays?

When I was a member awhile back I remember it was quite poor. They hardly ever dispatched on the same day as they received and I never got any of the movies on the top ten of my list.

Have they improved?

RE: Lovefilm 3 for 1 month offer.

The `while stocks last` does not relate to the 50 free DVD players. I just got a reply from Lovefilm after 3 days and it confirmed that it relates to the 3 for 1 offer.

I will not be rejoining them. Knowing my luck I`ll rejoin and they will tell me the stocks have run out and they will charge me monthly.

RE: Football Manager 2005 (PC) now £17.49

Football Manager 2005 is light years ahead of CM. The original programmers of CM joined Sega.

With the free Football Manager update available at Sports Interactive and the Sega site you can update the game for free.

RE: Lovefilm 3 for 1 month offer.

Reading the various posts regarding Lovefilm`s policy for missing DVDs it sounds quite messy, apparently if a DVD goes missing you have to complete a form and it can take up to several weeks.

I have also been sending them emails regarding the offer and the response has been very slow. A lot of people are saying they never get any replies and have had to get chargebacks through their credit card companies in order to stop Lovefilm taking out money.

3 months for the price of 1 is very tempting, however this bit on the terms and conditions looks a bit suspicious Quote:

RE: Anyone Interested In Purchasing My EBAY Listing??

I smell a feedback auction. A friend of mine did the same thing with Buy It Now at 25 pence and sold 20 lots. His total feedback from his grass auctions was over 50! :$

Lovefilm 3 for 1 month offer.

Lovefilm have offered me a 3 months for the price of 1 deal. I used to use them when they were DVDsOnTap and they really weren`t that bad. Is it worth me giving them another chance or have they really gone downhill big time.

So far I have tried most of them and Blockbusters has proven to have the best turnaround and choice.

RE: Dell printer for a tenner

I won`t be buying any more of these worthless lumps of plastic.

Last time I bought 5 of these and have only recently flogged my last one.

They`ve gone up to £23.00 now and the ink is overpiced.

RE: Untouchable Dodgy Powerseller

I purchased manuals from him and they were all copies downloaded off the internet.

I could have sworn ebay did not allow items copied on CDRs for sale?

Amazingly I tried to sell some alternative car manuals and mine got pulled.

Ebays fantastic double standards again, where powersellers can sell whatever they want and stop others from competing.

Untouchable Dodgy Powerseller

This powerseller sells copied CDR items on ebay and no matter how many times I report him to Ebay, they do nothing about it.

RE: MORE GREAT DEALS AT GADGET SHOP

CALL THAT A SALE? NOT!

RE: Championship Manager 5

Football Manager 2005 is by far the best footy management sim I have played.

The fantastic free update offered by SI to make all the teams and transfers updated through to the January 2005 transfer window was pure quality.

I have won 14 trophies with chelsea already with Adriano and Owen up front.
C Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Duff and Lampard in Midfield.
A Cole, Terry, Ferdinand and Gallas in defence.
And finally Buffon in goal. ;)

RE: S.V.P.

The courier service SVP use is rather poor. They sent something to me recently and all the CDRs were all over the place.

The guy spent a long time looking for it in his van and I could hear him bouncing all the other boxes, whilst looking for my one.

The CDR I purchashed were not even in cake boxes, they had a bit of bubble wrap on them that had no sellotape. A complete mess.

That`s twice Interlink have let me down. >:(

RE: My first experience of identity fraud

I have received the odd bill through the post featuring names of people I have never heard off, the address is my one. I think it is related to ebay as I sell quite a few items on there. I get occasional junk mail as well, the only place I can think where this rc[at]p comes from is ebay as I shred everything.

Either dodgy ebay customers or sellers who get my details then use them for other purposes.

RE: Telesales Calls - bit annoyed???

This is how I deal with telesales.

TELESALES: Hi this is [name] from [company name]

ME: Is this regarding a promotion?

TELESALES: Yes

ME: Please remove me from your list, if you cannot then I would like to speak to your Manager.

TELESALES: Thank you for your time.

Works everytime and they never call back.

RE: THIEVING IDIOTS ON EBAY

Well if you go to all the trouble of doing a nice looking `advert` with HTML and quite a long time capturing pictures with a digital camera, you`d be pretty upset that some ignoranous, rather than do their own description and pictures simply highlighted the lot and pasted it over.

Word for word copying is unacceptable. It is not difficult to write your own description, it is plain idle or stupid when someone doesn`t have the brain cells to write their own description.

THIEVING IDIOTS ON EBAY

Some idiot on ebay has nicked my picture and item description. I contacted those lazy idiots who run ebay 3 times and they have not replied or done anything about it.

Not only did this idiot buy from me, they also chose to start selling the very same item I sell. I do not have a problem with a bit of competiton but when users steal your picture and item description, it clearly shows they are taking the p***. >:(

RE: Fuppin ParcelForce

You always get the odd delivery man who is nothing short of pathetic.

I had some idiot deliver something to me recently and he rang the door waited for up to 2 secs and was running back into his van with the package. I had to shout at the idiot to stop him from driving off, impatient little wt[at].t

RE: City Link

SVP use Citylink and they messed up one of my orders once.

It took over week to get it sorted as the delivery person left a `YOU WERE OUT` card at the wrong address and I had to chase it up with Citylink myself.

At the end of the day I blame the driver who was probably a bit blind.
