Anyone know how to stop a persistant MMS from sky ?

MADTheOgster (Elite Donator) posted this on Sunday, 6th September 2009, 15:07

very annoying. i keep getting an MMS from 80275 (says it`s from sky)

tried the usual return STOP text, googled it etc, but the damned thing just keeps coming, waking me up in the early hours, & throughout the day (about 7 times a day :/) i`ve never subscribed to anything except facebook updates, & these just started arriving out of the blue

any help appreciated, this is driving me nuts :(

Hi Ogster
A quick search on google send s me here

and a reply from vodaphone for a similar problem was either:
[*] If you dont want to receive these message then send a text message to 80275 with the words STOP ALL.
[*] The short code you have stated 80275, is operated by a company WIN PLC and their contact details are 0845 1309911. If you give them a call they can remove you from their data base. It is a short code which is FREE to receive messages from.

Alternatively there is indeed a premium rate text messaging bar which we could place on your account as a simple addition called `PREMESBAR`. This will stop sending and receiving of premium rate texts from you mobile and so any charging would stop.

also further info at that site.
