i know miles has been waiting for this, so i figured it was worth a new thread :)

Yes mate, saw this on macrumors the other night.
There`s still no guarantee of getting it if I order a Mac Mini after that date though apparently :(
So have to wait till Nov at least (I suppose its only a couple more weeks). Plus I need to get hold of a student for the discount!! :D:D

No Student Discounts on the family pack for some reason :s

Found out today that any mac bought after Oct 1st is eligible for Leopard for a fiver.

I was going to get parallels or something, but im actually really getting on well with OSX, to the point where the one or two thing that need windows, im just using my other PC for.
