Page 1 of BT 1250 MODEM/ROUTER AND TALKTALK BROADBAND

I need help from anyone who uses a BT 1250 wireless modem connected to TalkTalk broadband. Since the upgrade to 8meg two weeks ago,It works fine with most sites except Ebay,Amazon and Internet banking.I can`t log on to my accounts on these sites. Every thing is fine if I use the ADSL modem supplied by Talktalk.Customer services is a waste of time suggesting a lot of things which make no difference. so if anyone is experiencing similar problems with the above setup,I`d be grateful for some advice.

Can you ping the websites?

Do a search for how to adjust the MTU settings on your router that will fix you problem default is 1500 try bringing down to 1400

Thanks Guys,just done ping test,coming back request timed out .Will try to adjust mtu.

Sorted. Had to change the MTU to 1398. :)
