Mail UK.com Less than £200-00 for the Pioneer 444 I had good service from them But the 444 was a dissapointment as it Won`t go forward by time (on some SVCDs)..ie punch in 35 minutes & it should go 35 minutes in to a disc. No problem with DVDs as there are Chapters. Also no zoom facility.

I got mine from www.homecinemaheaven.com for £209 delivered. A mix up at their end meant it took a week to arrive, but otherwise I was very impressed.

The prices are much of a muchness, some of the cheaper ones need to have VAT added.

And if you want to go forward by time it`s accessed via the `search mode`, just look at page 38 of the instruction book!

I read the instrucion book & phoned up Pioneer about the forward by time & it works on some discs but others usually NTSC SVCDs it wont bring up the time mode. The problem is a SVCD disc that I was trying in the Pioneer crashed (screen went black & a green line down the right hand side) this happened after 6 minutes into the disc, if this had happened 45 minutes into the disc I would have lost interest after the 10 minutes or so of fast forwarding to reach the part again. This disc has played in two other players without any problem several times. I had assesed this fact before I answered the enquiry. Thanks for your help anyway. Oh I phoned the dealer & he new of this crashing problem.
