Page 1 of Samsung DVD811/909, firmware & macro.

Just an idea, or maybe it`s a question. Anyhow I`m wondering about if what will happen if I take the firmware-`prom from a 909(which disables macro) and place it in a 811? Will anything be damaged, will this be in any help at all? If I took the 811`s `prom and placed it in the 909, would this move affect anything?
If you`ve tried any of this, or have a theory about it, please respond.

It doesn`t work. Nothing will be damaged - the player just won`t start up!

The x1x series (511, 811, 618, 611 and so on) Samsung machines have a different internal architecture to the x09 series Samsung players, hence the firmware isn`t compatible between the two.
