Hi can any one tell me with the panasonic how do you get it to pass a satllite signal though when its recording tv?.when the unit is recording from its own tuner it will not pass satllite on to the TV. :/ :/ is there a way around this,or is it to do with the way it is wired up.
many thanks

While recording, the Panny doesn`t pass video thru the RF connection. It does via the video connection. If your TV doesn`t have video inputs, use an RF modulater on the video leads to the TV.

If that means it wont pass through a different signal from the one it`s recording on it`s RF channel, then yeah, you`re right, and possibly not even passing anything through it`s RF station (haven`t checked this on mine to be sure), but if you`re saying the panasonic completely disables it`s RF side when recording then either:
1) thats extremely bad planning from Panasonic, and a complete waste of time haveing an aerial connection then, or
2) you`re wrong! Lol

I shall endeavour to check this on the E50 later, but for now, `tis time to go to work....there`s dosh to be had!
(Paull...you wanna check this on yours too? Record anything & test for RF pass through and RF signals?)

Yep, but do you have actual experience of this?
I would read that as the Panny can`t output the source it`s recording from via the RF, not that it disables pass through.
Ans to the original poster....have I read this wrong as I thought you were saying summat like
""I want to record something on my E85, then turn the TV over to channel 6 and watch a satellite station but it doesn`t let me?"

Sure have, on my E55 ( pretty sure same as E85). A stupid design flaw. Worse than the stupid remote control record button. But them Pannys do record a nice video.......
