Then you don`t have the files correct on your hard drive, and this is almost impossible to tell you where you`ve gone wrong.

We`d need much more info. Oh, and don`t create a DATA disc, create a DVD VIDEO from the "new" menu if you want it to play on other machines ;)

Save yourself a lot of hassle and download DVDShrink (it`s free, just do a Google for it).

You click on the ``open disc` button, you click on the `backup` button, you watch your new backed up film. :D

ps It sounds like when you where doing it yourself, you where choosing to create a multi-session DVD (one that can be written to until the disc is full) as opposed to a single session one where the header is written, the data is written, then the disc is `sealed` off.

Sorry for my earlier post. You didn`t stipulate you were trying to make a movie dvd you just said "files"

And, yes. Just get dvd shrink

it works with nero auromatically.

That should sort it.

Perhaps a more common fault is that he hasnt copied the files into Video_TS folder on the disc?

PS Use DVD Shrink it does exactly what it says on the tin ;)

DVD Shrink is a fantastic bit of kit but chances are you don`t have the file in a video_TS folder. My advice would be to go to the Doom 9 website and have a look at the guides, should help you.
