has anyone any knowledge or info about this machine,eg good points, bad points,
problems .etc etc as i am considering getting one but dont have much info on it ,any help greatly appreciated.

Can also be made multi-region by the remote.

I`ve heard good things about it too. A friend of mine bought one last week from DVDworld (www.dvdworld.co.uk) and he loves it to death. I think he said they were about the cheapest of the reputable companies who had it.

Avoid this substandard recorder.Unlike other recorders that simply omit an RGB input,this one misses an s-video input aswell.Incredibly,no matter what output your digibox or Freeview can offer,the best this thing will accept is composite,making it suitable for analogue recording only.

i am not too worried about no s-video input on a machine as i will be using it to mainly transfer stuff from my digital camcorder to dvd,therefore the digital camcorder connector
under the front panel will suit me nicely. i dont know if all the other standalone dvd recorders have a firewire input but i am guessing that some dont.for the money it would seem to be a good machine considering that it will handle either + or - discs.
