LG3350 I found one but should I......

YaZiN (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 13th February 2001, 01:11

I have found 1 at least in my local town but they are £250 which is a bit steep compared to what dabs have em (but don`t have em) at.
Are they that rare? should I grab it now?

The recommended price is £280 pounds. the high street shops charge
£250 pounds (Curries) Dabs charge £190 pounds. That is why so many
have been ordered from Dabs. I guess its down to how much you want one now, and how much you are prepared to pay. I was not willing to pay any more than £200 pounds for a player and it took close to a month to come from Dabs but I saved £60 pounds, thats a lot of DVD`s.

The question has to be what has happened to the production of the LG3350 and the Aiwa ? why are they both not available at all, is there some big change comming ? Any one know whats going on.

Worldwide demand for DVDs has exploded in the last few months and there is a chip shortage; wouldn`t surprise me if the American market is taking priority right now...

Just to confirm this, I ordered from direct-electrical on Fri 9 feb, they rang me on Sat to confirm and the machine arrived on Tuesday. At £225 it seems to be a bargain. Certainly a step up on the wharfe 750 and 750s I owned previously.
