Hi,

I need some help..........Is there any way of using my Toshiba SD220E to view JPEG`s? I am planning on buying a digital camera and don`t want to buy a new DVD also!

Thanks.

Hi,

You could try a program like DVD Pictureshow, it will allow you to record jpegs to cdr`s and play them like a slideshow, on any DVD player that can play cdr`s. ;)

I got the Tosh 220E and yes it does play JPEG`s from my digital camera so no need to buy a new DVD.

Just tried it again to make sure.....
Basic way to put photos onto disk....cd-r in this case....open Nero....select Video cd ...drag ya JPEG`s over......burn as normal.

Put cd into DVD player and use "skip " function to scan photos 1 by 1

Can you use CD-RWs for the same task? Wouldn`t like to wait for a whole CDs worth before burning.
I take it you lose resolution compared to the original JPEG by converting to VCD or SVCD format so would still need to burn the JPEGs to another CD for long term storage.

No you don`t resolution (CRT`s have c@@p resolution anyway) and you can add the original JPEG`s to the same CD. However, DVD Pictureshow is a MUCH better solution than Nero.
