DD 5.1 speakers

Are there any good deals going around for a set - want to put them in a small room, so smaller speakers and subwoofer would be needed. DTS decoder optional.

Not sure what you`re asking for - speakers, decoder or system?

How much are you prepared to pay?

Well, if you`re on a budget, what about that Altec Lansing ADA885MG set that includes a DD decoder (no DTS) that http://www.aria.co.uk are doing. Westy`s got a set and thinks they`re pretty good - no centre speaker, but apparently the virtual centre works OK. And they cost £69 inc VAT, plus delivery. Bargain!

Thanks for the link. Will they work just with a PC, or can I use them with my Proline DVD-1000 and Xbox?

Are there any more suggestions as well?

They have an SPDIF input, so as long as your Proline has coax out, you should be OK. Not sure what the PS2 has. Here`s quite a good review with a copy of the wiring diagram to help see how it all goes together.

OK, I`ll have a look now, but are there any other sets recommended in case it doesn`t work?

Well, if you need decoder, then you`re looking at Videologic`s digitheatre (not the LC, as it has no decoder IIRC), or the Yamaha VS10. Both in the £200 plus region.
