There`s the BEKO 2826NDS from argos @ £249.99. It`s NTSC compatible, has 2 scarts (1 RGB compatible) and a rear AV socket. Not sure on the quality though. I have been thinking of buying one myself.

I got myself the BEKO 2826NDS from Sainsburys for £250, and it is actually surprisingly good.

It looks great for the money, thats for sure. The only thing that I can think of that annoyed me about it was that there isnt any audio outputs other than the headphone socket, but thats the only bad thing I can think of about it.

Definately worth the money. Ayeeeeeeeeee.

Hi

The weak point to check is the sound output is it loud enough for you.
I had an early model and it lacked power and a mates newer one is the same.
The picture is good with a good signal or via video ect.

I now have a comet Goodmans widescreen which has ok power

scarts for rgb / svideo / comp

tuner is the weak point

picture very good via dvd or video.

in the price bracket you mention.

tip if the volume goes up on its own check the mains plug for burns and clean then should be ok [ goodmans only fault upto now - 2years ]

Check out the Matsui 28WN05 from Dixons, I`ve not had any problems with it, although I don`t use it for audio as I`ve got that through my amp. It has got RGB and is NTSC compatible (I think, cos I do watch R1 through it).
