Used to be on TV as much as the test card (what's one of them Grandad, shut up and Google it).

Really amiable bloke who seemed to know just about everyone in entertainment in his day. I remember him particularly with Harry Fowler. They hosted a couple of shows together and used to spark off each other with seemingly little reference to a script.
